1 Jan 1970 - SL facelift for MY2008 ? - SL55/65 Dropped !
Mercedes Benz is going to facelift the SL again before the replacememnt model. We beleive this will be for the 2008 Model Year, and internally the facelift is known as MOPF2.
The range will drop from the existing 4 models, SL350, SL500, SL55, SL65 down to 3 models as the SL55 and SL65 are dropped, and the SL63 based on the same V8 63 engine used across the rest of the range.
We can see why dropping the SL55/65 and simplifying the engine range makes sense - but we love the V8 5.5 supercharged SL55 - we we are rather sad.
