Our news comes from various sources so often we can not get reliable dates, just information that things will happen - So please excuse the lack of firm dates in some news items.
1 Jan 1970 - Daimler Chrysler dropping the Chrysler name already
The Daimler Chrysler name is really going, replaced by Daimler.
The website www.daimler.com has already appeared, with users of the old www.daimlerchrysler.com being silently re-directed to the new site, and the dealer network have been told of changes to the web site URLs of various online systems including the aftersales support platform for dealers and independant workshops - now aftersales.daimler.com instead of aftersales-net.daimlerchrysler.com.
The finacial services division is now called Daimler Finance, and the trucks division Daimler Trucks. Luckilly passenger cars are still called Mercedes Benz.
They didn't take long to try and irradicate references to Chrysler did they !!
